What Is a Certified Ad Account? The Adtucon Programme Explained

The toucan presenting with an open wing

At Adtucon, a certified ad account is an ad account held to the 15 public checks of our own programme, and the certification comes from us, not from Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat or any other platform.

We're putting that in the first line because the word causes confusion. Platforms do run real checks of their own, some called verification and some called certification, and those are about a business or a vertical. If a seller offers you a platform status that comes with the account, ask which page of the platform describes it.

Key takeaways
  1. Adtucon Certified is our own programme, and no platform issues or endorses it.
  2. It has 15 public checks across three levels, Preflight, Flight Ready and Long-Haul, and it's re-checked every month.
  3. Fail a check and the level drops, and you see which check failed and how to fix it.
  4. It doesn't stop bans and nobody can promise it lowers your CPM. The work goes on what moves the cost, ad quality, signal, customer feedback and a clean history.

Who issues a certified ad account?

We do. We wrote the checks, we run them, and we can take a level away. Adtucon Certified is our own programme, no platform issues or endorses it, and you won't see a platform logo next to our seal.

It looks at what the platforms look at, and that's as far as the connection goes.

How is it different from platform verification?

Buyers mix these up, and sellers don't always help. Each of these answers a different question about a different thing.

What do the 15 checks look at?

Checks 1 to 6 happen at opening. The rest need history, because you can't judge a clean record on day one.

We re-check every month. Fail a check and the level drops, and you see which check failed and how to fix it. We built it so a level can be lost, since a status nobody ever loses tells you nothing.

A level applies to one platform, so Flight Ready on TikTok says nothing about Meta. The certificate shows the platform, the level, the checks passed and the date of the last check, and it states that we issued it. You can read the programme in full.

You hear it from a person.

If an account falls
  • You hear it from a person, with what the platform told us. We read why it happened, fix what can be fixed and resubmit with you.
  • If the account can't come back, you get a new one at no charge.

Will a certified ad account lower my CPM?

Nobody can promise that. We've found no platform and no public study saying that a verified or certified account pays less per thousand, so be wary of the percentages sellers quote.

What is documented is how the auction works. Meta says the winner is decided on total value, a mix of your bid, estimated action rates and ad quality, and that "an ad that's more relevant to a person could win an auction against ads with higher bids". It also says it may use "data about you and your ad account to make adjustments that could affect auction outcomes and prices", without saying how.

So we work on the things that move the cost, which are ad quality, signal, customer feedback and a clean history. You judge the result on your own account.

Fail a check and the level drops, and you see which check failed and how to fix it.

What does it change for spend and stability?

Here the platforms do say something, about their own rules rather than about our programme.

On spend, Meta writes that your daily spending limit grows as you build advertising history, follow its policies and spend near your limit, and that it may be readjusted after violations or for "low ad quality rankings or low feedback scores". Google says ads from unqualified advertisers can be limited in specific scenarios, and that account maturity, history of policy compliance and verification status are among the factors it weighs.

On stability, TikTok says that completing verification before the deadline "keeps your campaigns active". Meta's restrictions page lists failed payments, disputed payments and missing two-factor authentication, all of which sit on our checklist.

You judge the result on your own account.

What doesn't it do?

A certified account can still be banned. The checks go after common causes, and the platform still makes its own decisions on your ads and your account. If one falls, read what happens to your balance, because certification changes nothing in our Terms about money.

It also doesn't make a prohibited vertical allowed, or replace a platform's own approval. And it isn't a synonym for "whitelisted", a word that means something different depending on who's selling. We took that word apart here.

What does it cost?

Free to open, free to certify, free to replace. On percentage plans you pay nothing until your first deposit. The fee comes out of each deposit. Our fees and fixed plans are on the offers page, and if you're choosing a platform first, start with the accounts.

What is documented is how the auction works.

What is Verification Support?

It's the help you get with the platform's own process, included from Preflight. We check your legal details, your domain and your documents, then walk you through verification on Meta, Google and TikTok. The platform makes the decision. Our job is to leave it no easy reason to say no.

PlatformWhat we'd tell you first
MetaIn March 2026 Meta said it wants verified advertisers to drive 90% of its ads revenue by the end of 2026, up from 70%. Business verification comes without a badge, and the verified badge is a separate paid subscription
GoogleAll advertisers will eventually be required to verify. An agency can either complete the task for its client or send the client a link
TikTokVerification turns mandatory once spend crosses your market's threshold, with a deadline. Verifying at Business Center level covers the ad accounts beneath it

How do you get started?

Your Preflight starts when you open an account with us. Tell us your vertical, your platforms and your monthly spend, and we tell you what passes, and what doesn't, before you pay anything. All 15 checks are on the Adtucon Certified page, along with the chat link to start.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a Meta or TikTok certification?

No. Adtucon Certified is our own programme. It looks at what the platforms look at, but no platform issues it or endorses it.

Will my CPM go down?

Nobody can promise that, and no platform publishes it. We work on the part you can touch, ad quality, signal, customer feedback and a clean history.

Can a certified account still get banned?

Yes. Bans happen and the platform decides. You hear it from a person, with what the platform told us. We read why it happened, fix what can be fixed and resubmit with you. If the account can't come back, you get a new one at no charge.
